“India on the Brink”: An Agenda Driven “Summit” of Fearmongers and Mischief-makers
It was the same coterie of anti-India communists, leftists, and Muslim and Christian apologists and supremacists, with their same old anti-Hindu diatribes, that gathered at the “India on the Brink” so-called summit. Their goal was to cry “wolf”, warn the world of an imagined genocide of Muslims in a country where they form 15 per cent of the population. India has the third-largest population of Muslims in the world, and Muslims not only enjoy lives full of privileges but generously offered appeasements, so much so that about twenty million of them have crossed over from the Bangladesh homes to find succor in India.
The lineup of speakers at the three-day virtual meet was held to with the 20th anniversary of the Godhra train carnage and the resultant riots in Gujarat. The “summit” speakers included people, who by virtue of their chameleon-like political leanings take great pride in calling themselves anti-establishment. They have made careers out of Hindu-bashing with their vitriolic anti-Hindu writings, speeches, and actions, and are self-appointed messiahs of the “oppressed.”
Interestingly, several of them have also had associations with human rights organizations whose funds were frozen or who were denied license to operate on grounds of jeopardizing India’s sovereignty and integrity. To add to the clique were academics and so-called intellectuals who have long polluted university campuses – be it in India, the US, Europe, or Australia with their leftist ideologies and Hinduphobia.
While the website highlights alleged atrocities against Muslims and aims to draw global attention to the pressing emergency of some fictitiously pending genocide, the coterie of “human rights” activists who took part in the summit seemed to have never heard of the mass murders and rapes perpetrated over Kashmiri Hindus under the banner of “aazadi.”
In post-independence India there have been several attacks on Hindus and their temples by Christian evangelists and Muslim militants. The most prominent among them are the Chamba massacre (1998), the Fidayeen attacks on Raghunath temple (2002), the Akshardham Temple attack (2002), the Godhra train burning (2002), the Marad massacre (2003), and the Varanasi bombings (2006), resulting in several deaths and injuries. Conveniently ignoring the attacks on Hindus, they seem blind to even register deaths of numerous Rashtriya Swayam Sevak supporters, mind you, in a Hindu majority nation, butchered across India in broad daylight, shot at point-blank range, or made to flee their villages by the “peaceful” tribe just because they don’t conform to their religious dictates.
* As recently as a few weeks ago, 26-year-old Harsha, a local Bajrang Dal worker was hacked to death in Shivamogga, Karnataka. His crime? He was a supporter of continuing the uniform dress code in place in Karnataka’s government schools and pre-university colleges for years, which a handful of Muslim girl students influenced by the Popular Front of India (PFI), an extremist, fundamentalist Islamic organization, suddenly demanded be changed to allow the wearing of hijab in classrooms.
* Another RSS nagar pracharak was grievously injured when he was attacked by Muslims (Indian newspapers do not even mention the religious affiliation of the attackers) in a protest at Kanpur’s Ghatampur.
* Earlier in January, Kishan Bharwad of Gujarat was murdered by two motorbike-borne assailants for allegedly uploading a video on social media against Muslims after which he came on the radar of Islamic extremists.
* On February 13, 18-year-old Mukul Adhikari from Almora district in Uttarakhand was brutally stabbed to death by a Muslim man named Irshad in Delhi. Since the perpetrator was an Islamist with a criminal history and the victim a Hindu, the news barely made it to the so-called secular national media.
* Days later district general secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha (BJYM), Krishna Yadav, 28 was shot dead in Uttar Pradesh’s Hathras district.
These events occurred in a span of a month and the targets were RSS or BJP workers — Hindus. If human rights are such a concern for these propagandists, we should wonder why they differentiate between a Muslim or a Hindu life? Don’t Hindu lives matter?
Under the banner of “secularism,” which casts its baleful shadow on almost every matter, public or private, in India, Hindus have become targets of all – including fundamentalist Christians, extremist Muslims, violent and deadly Communists, and feudal party lords who have used the secular label to make life hell and unequal for the majority Hindu population.
History bears testimony to the fact that Muslims have conquered, converted, and tortured locals forcing them to subserve to their fanatic, religious expansionist agendas where human rights have never held any value. In a Hindu majority country, we have to look at what is happening in states such as Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Assam which have seen a rapid increase in Muslim population in years after the partition of India in 1947 to understand the game plan of the global Islamic brigade which is intent on making the world Muslim. Demographically, experts anyway predict that Islam will become the world’s largest religion by 2075.
M R Subramani, in his article, Kerala’s Demographic Shift: Three Axes of Change and Salafism, has elaborated on the shift in the demography of the state:
In 1901, Hindus, numbering 43.78 lakh, made up 68.5 per cent of Kerala’s population with Muslims and Christians making up 17.5 per cent and 14 per cent respectively. By the 1960s, the Hindu population dropped to 60.9 per cent, while that of Muslims increased marginally to 17.9 per cent. Christian population expanded to 21.2 per cent.
Since then, there has been a dramatic change in the composition of Kerala’s population. In the next decade, Muslim population grew at over 35 per cent, with that of Christians and Hindus registering a growth of about 25 per cent. The growth of Hindu population has been on a downhill since then, growing by a meagre 2.29 per cent between 2001 and 2011. The phenomenal growth of Muslim population has continued, though it slowed to 12.84 per cent in the said period.
Today, Hindus make up around 55 per cent of the population (55.05 per cent in 2011 Census), Muslims 27 per cent (26.56 per cent in the Census) and Christians 18 per cent. But another development that has taken place in 2016 – the number of Muslim births exceeding that of Hindu births.
According to the Kerala Department of Economics and Statistics, the percentage of Muslim births topped that of Hindus at 42.55 per cent in 2016. This means, of every 100 children born in Kerala, over 42 were Muslim, while the number for Hindu children was slightly lower at 41.88. In terms of real numbers, over 2.11 lakh Muslim children were born in 2016 compared with 2.07 lakh Hindu children.
A former bureaucrat, who spoke on condition of anonymity, says Muslims will make up 40 per cent of Kerala’s population by 2030 going by the current trend in births. “There are attempts to ensure that Muslims make up over 50 per cent of the population as soon as possible. That’s why you hear stories of love jihad,” the bureaucrat said.
Similarly, there has been an alarming change in demography in the Mayiladuthurai-Kumbakonam belt of Tamil Nadu famous for its temples, with new mosques springing up every day, and Muslims settling in the area in large numbers.
With the backing of all the Gulf money and favors doled out by political parties, these states are witness to the rising dominance of Muslims, where like in Saudi Arabia if not in most Muslim majority countries, it would be difficult to expect even a glass of water for non-Muslims when the crowd is busy with the daily namaaz during Ramadan, and mosques and butcher shops begin to crowd out others’ religious places and business establishments. We have seen for decades, if not for centuries, in India mosques built adjacent to mandirs provoking and creating unrest among Hindus, not to mention the special favors extended by authorities to the occupation of public spaces for Friday prayers, disrupting the daily lives of thousands of other local residents. Alas, none of these fraught, dangerous dynamics are discussed or presented in these anti-Hindu meetings masquerading as academic conferences and global summits. In fact, no oppositional voices are allowed at these conferences, lest they puncture their hate bubble.
In a strange and bizarre but very predictable manner, these summiteers shut their eyes to the real violence, horrific violence, perpetrated around the world by those flying the banner of Islam. The 9/11 attacks that killed nearly 3,000; the London bombings; the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack of 2008; the Charlie Hebdo attack; the Nice truck massacre, and many thousands more, including in Muslim majority countries…. It is claimed that “between 1979 and May 2021, at least 48,035 Islamist terrorist attacks took place worldwide,” and that they “caused the deaths of at least 210,138 people.”
So, why is it that instead of talking about these jihadists responsible for the majority of terrorist attacks in the world, the “concerned” activists are training their guns on a community which follows the path of Sanatana Dharma, people who have never conquered or attacked another nation unless provoked, has some of the best minds running the world’s biggest conglomerates, and have no record of creating any trouble in any country they have migrated to?
As pointed above, Islam is the fastest-growing religion in the world, which only means major demographic shifts in countries they have migrated to, as it has happened in Europe over the last few decades, and as we see it happening in the US now. Hundreds of cities and societies are already witness to the irreversible changes that have occurred in their communities due to immigration, and to their systematic and planned attempts at conquering public spaces – from the proliferation of mosques, prayer calls from loudspeakers, commercialization of halal foods, etc., not to forget the political dominance they can exert by the sheer strength of their numbers.
Should Indians not be concerned? Should Hindus not be worried about their cultural spaces being dominated once again by Muslims, just as they were for nearly a millennium? Should Hindus not be worried that just as in 1947 when India was cleaved into a Muslim-majority Islamic Republic of Pakistan (now divided into, but still Muslim majority Pakistan and Bangladesh) and a “secular” India, the country that they have known as a home forever could be made ready for another series of such cleaving?
Instead of being concerned about these demographic and religious dynamics, here we have blinkered and dangerous activists talking about Islamophobia and Muslims being under a genocidal threat in India, which goes on to show how the billions of petro-dollars poured into the US to influence politicians, academics, activists, and the media, who in turn have focused all their energies on demonizing India (one against 49+ Muslim majority countries) and Hindus. Vast sums of money and much political muscle have been used in running a PR machinery which has made Americans think that Islamophobia is more a problem than Islam-inspired attempts to make the world Muslim. What a change in twenty years when the President of the country was cowering in a bunker deep in the ground somewhere in Maryland, and the dust from the destruction of the twin towers of the World Trade Center hung over New York City for weeks to now all the talk is about Islamophobia!
Democracy offers liberty and this liberty has been exploited by these purveyors of Islam with the support of anti-India, anti-Hindu countries and groups, both within and outside India. That the Islamists are joined by their war-mongering Christian cousins is a clear indication of their deadly battle for world dominance and their belief in “end times.” These two monopolist, supremacist, and violent faiths, in the company of their atheistic, violent, millenarian bedfellows, the Marxists/Maoists/Communists, know that India is a rich hunting ground for “soul harvesters.”
Reading the names of the 63 speakers listed at the so-called summit and the titles of their presentations, it should be clear what their larger agenda is: to bring down India’s present BJP-led government in connivance with Americans at the highest levels of political, religious, academic, media, and social clout, and rid India of its Hindus and Hinduism – through demonization, through conversion, through colonization, and slavery, just as it has happened before.
What else would explain India being sought to be characterized by the US Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) as a “Country of Particular Concern (CPC)” with the likes of Saudi Arabia, China, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Russia, and Pakistan? If we do not call out the actions and words of these brazen extremists and violent monopolists, who will?
