A 45-year old Hindu priest, Shaymanonda Das, was hacked to death in front of a temple in Jhinaidah district headquarter, 300km south west from the capital Dhaka in Bangladesh on July 1, 2016.
In Chakkarakkal region in Kerala, a RSS leader’s house was damaged in a bomb attack on the morning of July 1, 2016. The house that came under attack belonged to RSS Seva Pramukh M V Jayarajan. In the attack, window panes and front door were damaged.

A 75- year-old monk, Open Bita of a Rakhain temple was attacked by unknown miscreants in Bangladesh’s Cox’s Bazar town on Wednesday, July 13, 2016.
According to an intelligence report, 2 recognized religious conversion centres in Kozhikode and Malappuram converted as many as 5,793 people to Islam between 2011 and 2015. The report further stated that almost half of those who converted to Islam are women, and that the majority of these women (76%) were below 35 years, as reported by Times of India on July 15, 2016.

When the Mysuru police arrested carpenter Abid Pasha, 34, on August 7, over his suspected involvement in the March 13 murder of Bajrang Dal activist K Raju and the June 2011 twin murders of business management students Vignesh and Sudhindra, Pasha revealed his involvement in five other murders committed over moral digressions or associations with right-wing Hindu groups in the last eight years.
Four RSS activists were hacked and severely injured after CPM workers hurled bombs at them at Muzhakunnu panchayat in Kannur on August 25, 2016. Police said that a gang of 30 people, allegedly belonging to the CPM, threw crude bomb on them and hacked them with sharp weapons.
RSS Muzhukunnu Mandalam Karyavahak P Sujesh, 31, of Thilankery, N Santhosh, 25, of Muzhukunnu, Deepesh,26, of Thilankery and Arun,25, of Muzhukunnu were injured in the attack. While Sujesh suffered serious stab injuries on both his legs, Santhosh was brought to hospital with injuries on both his legs. The other activists suffered minor injuries in the incident.
Chitta Ranjan Addaya (57) a Hindu caretaker of the Raghunathpur Kali Mandir, located at Madhabdi police station of Narsingdi District in Bangladesh, was brutally attacked by assailants. Police has detained Mohammad Feroz (45) son of late Taher Ali.
