1. Caste discrimination in Government-controlled temples in Kerala

Report:  The Hindu Aikya Vedia has petitioned the state government of Kerala to take stringent action against the Kochi Devaswom Board for denying job opportunities on the basis of caste. Aikya Vedi state general secretary RV Babu has alleged that the stand taken by Kochi Devaswom Board polarizes Hindu society on the lines of caste.

2.     Caliphate in Bengal: Al Qaeda’s latest dream

Report: Intelligence officials in West Bengal have found an alleged Al Qaeda pamphlet, which talks about establishing an ISIS-style Islamic Caliphate in Bangladesh. The pamphlet is written in Bangla and is being secretly distributed in West Bengal and Assam. It declares that “establishing a caliphate in Bangladesh is crucial for intensifying jihad in Indian states” on the eastern border. The Al Qaeda pamphlet specifically mentions West Bengal and Assam, though intelligence officials suspect Bihar and Jharkhand also feature in Al Qaeda’s plans.

3.     Jihadi Terror Network behind Kolalambu investment Scam

Report: A Jihadi terror network, with its tentacles spread all over the country is said to be behind Kolalambu investment fraud. According to the Crime Branch, the crores earned through this fraud has gone directly into the hands of those running terror networks. Reports also state that certain Mosque committees in Malappuram and Thrissur have been in receipt of crores and that their deposits run to rupees 2400 crores.
