Akshay Ranade is Director of Research, Sripati Shastri Research Institute of Social Sciences, Pune. He is the Founder and Director of the research forum "Mimamsa Foundation for Indic Studies" (MFIS), which focuses on building a strong Indic perspective to understand India. Apart from India’s Foreign and Security Policy, which is his core research focus, he has a deep interest in Indian Political Thought and Ideas, Contemporary Political History, and Indic Knowledge Traditions.
